I was called to the Bar in 1988 after having obtained the Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor.  I am also a graduate of York University where I obtained a Bachelor of Psychology degree.

I have practiced law for approximately 30 years. As most of my professional career has been dedicated to family law, I have an in-depth understanding of these often-complex matters. The services offered by my law firm include:  Divorce, Parenting & Access, Child Support, Spousal Support, Property (Equalization), Independent Legal Advice as well as Domestic Contracts including Separation Agreements, Marriage Contracts & Cohabitation Agreements.

I pride myself on working closely with my clients, providing them with sound legal advice as well as skilled representation. My ultimate goal is to obtain the best possible results for my clients. For each client, I assess the most strategic and appropriate method of resolution.  Resolving a family law matter can be achieved through negotiation, mediation or arbitration, however, when the circumstances require it, I will effectively advocate my client’s rights in court. From the beginning to the end of both the litigation or alternative dispute resolution processes, I advocate for clients with integrity, compassion, and a commitment to excellence.

In addition to family law, I practice fertility law where I have the privilege of helping clients build their families through reproductive technologies, which is extremely rewarding. This area involves negotiating the necessary agreements and contracts that will protect the rights of Intended Parents, Egg Donors, Embryo Donors, Sperm Donors, Gestational Carriers and Surrogate Mothers. During this process I can connect you with my network of contacts in the fertility industry.

I recently expanded my practice to include the representation of claimants seeking restitution for Nazi looted or stolen art and other property during the Holocaust, working with world-renowned experts in this field.

When I’m not practicing law, I am an active volunteer for various charitable organizations, including the Rally for Kids With Cancer which is a cause that is close to my heart, making a difference in the lives of children suffering from cancer.  I also enjoy playing the piano, having been classically trained for many years and I love spending quality time with my family.
